Kardamena · Island of Kos
A living seaside village at your doorstep — and the whole island behind it.
The Village
Once a fishing village, always a fishing village — with sandy beaches stretching in both directions, a harbour that fills with boats at dusk, and tavernas where the day's catch decides the menu. Everything worth walking to is minutes from your suite.
Steps & minutes
Cross the lane and you're at the water — quiet, clear and yours before breakfast.
Everything the kitchenette needs, two minutes away on foot.
Green corners and play areas on the edge of the village.
Morning boat trips to Nisyros' volcano, sunset strolls past the fishing boats.
The long sandy stretch of Kardamena beach, backed by waterfront tables.
A Venetian-era fortress with sea views over half the Dodecanese.
Slides and pools for a louder kind of afternoon, just outside the village.
A fifteen-minute drive — arrival to poolside in under half an hour.
The ancient Asklepion, the plane tree of Hippocrates, harbour-front life.
Days out
For salt and adrenaline, Kardamena Water Sports runs jet skis, wakeboarding and ringos right off the village beach. Sunset drinks and slow dinners by the water are a Kardamena speciality — the beachfront bars keep the music low and the view unobstructed.
Rent a car for a day and the island opens up: Zia's sunset villages, the thermal springs of Therma, Paradise and Magic beaches on the south coast, and Kos Town's two and a half thousand years of history. We're happy to arrange car hire and point you to our favourite corners — just ask your hosts.
Explore all day. Come home to the pool, the jacuzzi and the quiet.
